If something should happen: The State Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia is responsible for the insurance of our members in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Since January 1, 2020, the State Sports Association of North Rhine-Westphalia (LSB NRW) has been the insurance partner of ARAG and the insurance provider for sports clubs in NRW.

What's new?

• The annual contribution invoice for the sports insurance, the VBG and GEMA flat rates as well as the sports aid membership fee will be issued by the LSB NRW with immediate effect and the invoiced funds will be forwarded directly to ARAG, VBG, GEMA and Sporthilfe. And it stays the same: The sports clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia will continue to pay no contributions to the LSB NRW because they are not members of the LSB NRW.
• The ARAG insurance office is no longer in Lüdenscheid, but in the immediate vicinity of the LSB NRW in Duisburg.

Four components, one bill

The Landessportbund NRW collects the VBG (each for the past year) and the GEMA contribution together with the sports insurance contribution. In 2020, these are 24 cents VBG flat rate and 7.4 cents GEMA flat rate per member.
