Our insurance and association partner:
Baden-Württemberg Company Sports Association (BWBV)
First of all, we wish everyone an injury- and pain-free sporting experience!
If something should happen: For the insurance of our members, insofar as they are not already insured elsewhere in a sports club, we cooperate with the very successful Baden-Württembergischer Betriebssport Verband eV
The insurance is very comprehensive and the premiums are flexible and attractively priced, especially for changing participants in sports groups.
The insurance and the process in case of an incident at a glance:
In the event of a sports accident within the framework of ABB Company Sports eV, we ask that you inform us immediately so that we can send the required reporting form to the BWBV office! For this, we require the private address of the insured member. We will then receive the form to be processed, which will then be used to report the accident to HDI via the BWBV.
People often ask what and how they are insured? Here are a few comments on this:
Is it a work-related accident?
Fortunately, case law has moved away from the old ideas and has now developed at least in favour of organised company sports. Three extensively reasoned rulings by the Federal Social Court have established that an accident at work occurs when the sport
a) serves to compensate for the physical and mental strain caused by professional work,
b) takes place regularly at appropriate practice times,
(c) is operated by a substantially equal group of employees of the undertaking,
d) is carried out within the framework of a business-related organisation (BWBV).
Conclusion: Accidents during company sports are considered work-related accidents if the aforementioned requirements were met. See also the information sheet!
The situation is different for accidents in sports with a competitive character (participants in BWBV association rounds), such as football, handball, bowling, table tennis, tennis, shooting or athletics. Only in individual cases has the social court considered competitive sports (team games) to be co-insured.
