Running group
What is our motivation to run: Most of us do not do hard physical work but do intensive mental work. We want to exercise - in the fresh air and, if possible, before the doctor tells us to. Running can also help reduce stress.
How we train: Running is usually an individual sport. The advantage is that you can decide for yourself when and where you run, how long you run and at what speed. However, some people prefer to run in a small group with friends or colleagues. If necessary, we are happy to reactivate our regular running group (e.g. on Tuesdays at the Weserstadion). The length of the route and the speed are agreed with the participants and adapted to their abilities. The following two principles apply: No one runs alone unless they specifically want to. The slowest person sets the speed. We also support special "running courses for beginners", such as those currently offered by the BKV, and are happy to make the first contact.
What are our goals: These are different for everyone. Some just want to exercise regularly without any major ambitions. Others enjoy it and want to improve their personal performance.
Some of us take part in competitions more or less regularly. Those interested in running from different running groups meet to start together at local running events. The focus is always on the individual goal and not on a group best time.
2023 Corporate Run in Minden
We have been there since the beginning in 2011. This was our 11th participation.
The focus is on the participation of each individual and so everyone sets their own personal goals. All the results are impressive.
We were able to build on our previous successes.
We at ABB, with 36 participants, came second out of 25 teams in the “largest team” category, behind Wago and ahead of Minda. Each of you played a part in this.
